Vitamin T Celebrates 1-Year Anniversary at CityScape with $1 Specials
Thursday February 2, 2012
Feb 6-12: $1 tacos all day, $1 draft beers and tequila shots after 3pm
PHOENIX (Feb. 2, 2012) – Taco lovers rejoice! Vitamin T, the popular taco, torta, tamale and tequila bar at CityScape in Downtown Phoenix is celebrating its 1-year anniversary and the completion of construction on its expansion by offering $1 specials all week long.
From Monday, Feb. 6 to Sunday, Feb. 12, Vitamin T will serve up $1 tacos (all day) and $1 draft beers and tequila shots (after 3pm).
Vitamin T recently expanded its menu and its space by doubling the restaurant’s capacity with the addition of 32 seats and adding weekday breakfast options to the menu.
Taco favorites at Vitamin T include barbacoa topped with queso fresco and avocado crema, queso fundido with chorizo and roasted poblanos, slow cooked pork shoulder with chili de arbol sauce and pickled onions, and roasted chipotle chicken.
On the busy streets of Mexico, fast food is called comidas corridas (running food) and includes tacos, tamales and tortas. Time-crunched urban dwellers have lumped these items together and refer to them collectively as "Vitamin T." Chef Aaron May (el jefe) brings these "T's" to downtown Phoenix where hungry CenPho-folks can get their daily dose of Vitamin T.
Vitamin T is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner on Monday through Friday from 7am to 7 pm and for lunch and dinner on Saturday from 11am to 7pm. The restaurant is located at 1 E Washington St., Ste. 175. Happy hour is 7 days a week (Monday – Friday from 3-6pm; Saturday all day).
