The Arizona State University Downtown Campus has enrolled 8,400 students at the end of 2008, and will have up to 15,000 students by 2015.

$250 million is being invested to create this 15,000-student campus. Nine city blocks will accommodate multiple new college programs and a newly designed ³Civic Space² that features several large grassy areas, spaces with game tables, public seating and hardscape where student organizations can network. There will also be a large public art installation by Janet Echelman.

The campus is being developed to include of mix of public and private uses, including active retail storefronts.
