CITYSCAPE WELCOMES SAM FOX’S LATEST CREATION, THE ARROGANT BUTCHER
Acclaimed Valley restaurateur will debut his new power-dining venue in downtown Phoenix

PHOENIX, AZ – CityScape is pleased to announce the February 21st opening of Fox RestaurantConcepts’ newest venture, The Arrogant Butcher.

“With this opening, Sam Fox is making a significant investment in downtown Phoenix and in CityScape,” said Mike Ebert, managing partner at RED Development, CityScape’s developer. “We are thrilled he has chosen CityScape to debut his new endeavor, and we look forward to the unveiling of another first-class dining option downtown.”

For CityScape, it’s another night-on-the-town destination for downtown, joining the already popular Lucky Strike Lanes and Lounge. The new comedy club Stand Up Live will add to the attractions later this Spring, along with a host of other restaurants that serve not only evening guests, but daytime visitors as well.

“CityScape truly had a vision of what downtown Phoenix could be and we’re excited to be a part of developing this great part of our city,” said Fox, owner of Fox Restaurant Concepts.

The 7,500-square-foot urban grill features an open dining room, exhibition-style kitchen, fullservice bar and outdoor patio. The menu will feature an eclectic menu of urban-grill-meets comfort food, with bold flavors and a mix of hearty to healthy items.

“I wanted to do something completely new and different from our other concepts, while at the same time creating a space within the fresh, new area of downtown that has an old, friendly feeling, like it’s been there forever,” said Fox.

The lunch menu will offer a section of salads, sandwiches, burgers and entrees priced from $16 - $18, including various Charcuterie and Cheese; Smoked Salmon Dip; a Shaved BBQ Pork Loin Sandwich; and Grilled Chicken Tabbouleh Salad.

For dinner, the menu consists of pork, seafood, steak, pasta and salads ranging from $14 - $34, and including such items as Dungeness Crab Cakes, Ricotta Gnudi, a Raw Bar with oysters, mussels and lobster; Braised Duck and Butternut Squash Lasagna; Skirt Steak with Asparagus, Bacon, Fingerlings and Crispy Egg; Grilled Swordfish with Artichokes, Crushed Chile and Lemon Risotto; and Beef Short Rib Stew. The restaurant will also offer a take-out menu to accommodate the business community and area residents.

The Arrogant Butcher is located at CityScape in downtown Phoenix, on the northwest corner of Jefferson and 1st Street and is open for lunch and dinner. Restaurant parking is available at a discount in CityScape’s on-site garage, directly below the office tower, with entrances on both Washington and Jefferson streets.
